Stars That Shine

Empower. Educate. Lead

Stars That Shine is a 501(c)(3) West Virginia nonprofit dedicated to empowering, educating, and leading young women toward a brighter future. Serving the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and beyond, we provide empowerment workshops, mentorship, academic support, leadership training, and life-changing opportunities to help girls overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

In addition to our empowerment, education, and leadership programs, we are committed to addressing period poverty. Through our Girls United PERIOD Project, we are providing local schools and communities with free access to period products to ensure no girl misses school due to lack of essential supplies.

Middle School Programs

At Stars That Shine, we believe that empowering young girls at an early age sets the foundation for a bright future. Our Middle School Programs are designed to inspire confidence, foster growth, and ignite a passion for learning, leadership, and personal development.

Through a combination of mentorship, hands-on activities, and educational support, we guide girls through these formative years, providing them with the skills they need to succeed in high school and beyond.

High School Programs

As girls transition from middle school to high school, the need for strong guidance, leadership development, and academic support becomes even more crucial. Stars That Shine’s High School Programs are designed to equip young women with the tools they need to excel both academically and personally, preparing them for success in college, careers, and life.

Our programs provide a holistic approach to development, offering leadership training, career exploration, college readiness support, women's health education and mentorship.

We aim to inspire confidence, build future leaders, and give each girl the resources to build a future that reflects her dreams and potential.
