Marketing Intern
Location: Remote (with availability to support in-person events and fundraisers in Berkeley County, West Virginia and Jefferson County, West Virginia.
Position Type: Internship (Freshman & Sophomore College Students)
About the Role
The Marketing Intern will support the execution of strategic marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness, community engagement, and donor support for Stars That Shine. This role is ideal for early college students looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, communications, and campaign development.Interns will collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, assist with campaign strategy, and contribute to initiatives that directly support girl empowerment programs.
Key Responsibilities

Write and edit engaging copy for social media platforms, blog articles, website landing pages, and monthly newsletters

Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for programs, events, and fundraisers

Support the creation of marketing materials including flyers and digital assets

Conduct research to support marketing campaigns and initiatives

Assist in compiling marketing analytics and performance reports

Help coordinate promotional efforts leading up to major events and fundraising initiatives

Provide on-site marketing support at select events and fundraisers when needed
Qualifications -
Current freshman or sophomore enrolled in a college or university (Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred)

Strong written communication skills

Interest in nonprofit marketing, social impact, or community engagement

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines

Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing concepts

Ability to work independently in a remote environment
