The Judy Yates-Rideoutt Memorial Scholarship

The Judy Yates-Rideoutt Memorial Scholarship is presented in honor of Judy Yates-Rideoutt by her daughter Leslie Rideoutt Summers. This scholarship is to honor the memory of Leslie's mother, Judy, who didn’t have the opportunity to attend college.
This scholarship is funded to provide resources to girls from West Virginia who are enrolled in a trade school or college and need a monetary supplement to help achieve educational goals.
Requirements
Must be a current or prior participate in 1 or more of Stars That Shine's Programs.
Must be accepted or currently enrolled in a University, Community College or Trade School.
Must be "in-need" of monetary assistance for tuition, books, school supplies, housing, meal plans or food assistance.
2026 Application Deadline: June 1st, 2026
One STAR going to or currently enrolled in a college or trade school will be chosen to receive the Judy Yates-Rideoutt Memorial Scholarship for the amount of $500.
The Scholarship will be distributed for the Fall semester of 2026.
